For nearly a decade, Ana Carolina has lived off the grid with her daughter, Antonia, embracing a life rooted in simplicity, intention, and a profound connection to the Earth. Far removed from the noise and demands of modern society, they have cultivated a way of life that honors the natural world—growing their own food, harvesting what the land freely offers, and living in harmony with the rhythms of nature. What began as a quiet, personal journey of healing and reconnection has now grown into something far greater—Wildland Sanctuary, a sacred space Ana is ready to share with the world. But this sanctuary is not just about the vibrant, majestic birds who call it home, though they are a breathtaking part of it. The heart of Wildland lies in something deeper: it is a place where people can come to slow down, to breathe, to remember. In a time when everything moves at lightning speed, when we are constantly bombarded with screens and information, when convenience often overshadows meaning, many of us have forgotten what it feels like to truly be—to be still, to be connected, to be whole. Ana’s journey began in the warm, wild heart of Brazil, where she grew up on a farm surrounded by the music of nature and the dazzling colors of macaws overhead. As a little girl, she would sit for hours watching the birds, collecting their fallen feathers as if they were treasures from the sky. She didn’t yet know that those feathers were part of a larger calling—one that would one day guide her across continents and through her own transformation. After moving to the United States, Ana found herself yearning for that connection again. She began volunteering at an exotic bird sanctuary, and there, among wingbeats and quiet moments, she remembered who she was.
This reconnection birthed Naples Feather, a line of handcrafted accessories made with ethically sourced feathers, each piece created with intention, infused with prayer, and grounded in respect for the natural world. But even that was just the beginning.
